SKR3 EZ Build + Firmware Help

Hi everyone,

I’m really proud of my MPCNC Primo build — pictures attached, along with a shot of my inlay project.

The main purpose of this post is to make life easier for those using the BigTreeTech SKR3 EZ board. Configuring the firmware proved to be a challenge (at least for me) with this board. Rather than manually configuring Marlin from scratch, I decided to fork the MarlinBuilder repository from V1Engineering.

:backhand_index_pointing_right: You can find my modified fork here:
MarlinBuilderSKR3EZ on GitHub

This version is heavily customized for my own machine. It is not a drop-in solution, but it should provide a solid, customizable foundation for you to configure and build firmware for your own setup.

A Few Notes

  • You will need to modify settings for your own machine (bed size, homing, accessories, etc.).
  • My fork builds and runs cleanly on the SKR 3 EZ with my MPCNC Primo.
  • Take what’s useful, ignore what isn’t — I hope it saves you some time and frustration.

Gratitude

I was hesitant to post this because I don’t want anyone thinking I created most of what’s in my fork — I absolutely did not. The heavy lifting was done by Ryan, V1Engineering, and all the contributors to Marlin and MarlinBuilder.

This is just my attempt to share back with the community. While I’m not the most active forum member, I’ve gotten a ton of value from everyone’s posts here. Hopefully this small contribution helps someone else on their build journey.

All the best,
**Harrison

You should be proud of it!

Great job and great write up.

Welcome to the V1 community forum.

Your inlay is awesome, but please tell me: why did you let an AI write your text? The structure and emphasis in bold are 100% AI… :expressionless_face:

Thank you!
Yes, I let AI put my draft into markdown format. If you really want to know the reason, I’m a graduate student (defending in 3mo), managing my consulting company, starting a new company. A lot going on, I’m taking the efficacies where I can. Sorry to disappoint

I have a lot on my plate also. I guess I’d prefer your draft like it is, but I think taste differs… :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you for saying so! I’ll keep that in mind. Maybe I use it a little too liberally, but i really just wanted to share the repository for others using that board. I wasted way too much time trying to get it working

Keep the forum up to speed with what you do with your machine.

At least that style of AI output is something we can work with.
