Dusted off my MPCNC build in progress from 4 years ago… finally have the steppers wired up to the SKR Pro 1.2 (purchased from V1 store as kit). When the board starts up, there is some beeping and I see on the screen “echo:” and wondering if there are warnings or issues I can somehow get more information on. My problem is that the E0 (X2) is driver is not working. I’ve swapped it out with one of the extras I have and it still doesn’t work. I’ve confirmed the cable and the motor are both fine.

It’s been a day without any response which is a little odd. I’m not sure I know what’s wrong here, but hopefully the thread activity will cause others to jump in.
That odd bit of beeping isn’t something that I recognize. I’ve had a bunch of Marlin machines and I can’t recall any of them doing that. Is the beeping you are hearing coming from the SKR or the TFT display?
As far as the actual problem, some suggestions.
You say you’ve swapped the TMC driver. Have you swapped the X stepper wiring between the X1 and X2 positions? If so, does the problem follow the wires or does it always stay with the EO/X2 position?
When we troubleshoot TMC issues on Marlin, we ususally go next to the diagnostics from the board. From a terminal, what do you get if you send these two commands:
The display looks a bit non-standard (at least compared to my LR3). You may want to ensure that both the SKR and the LCD have the correct and most recent version of software from the V1E GitHub repository.

My post got caught in spam for a while, probably due to the Imgur embed. Thanks for taking a look. When I run the commands I see the endstop report each axis as triggered. I don’t have endstops wired yet, I was following the guide which just said I could test the motors at this step and hasn’t mentioned hooking up endstops yet.
I was searching my email for my original order, after all these years I forgot that I orderd the SKR and screen from Amazon and other parts (and a ZenXY kit) from V1 I thought for sure it was a pre-flashed board from V1!
