Skr pro 1.2 issue

I have a 2x4 lowrider with the skr pro1.2 I’ve got the firmware installed but I’m getting tmc connection error. the endstops are showing up in repeater hoast, bit the motors will not move. any advice

Dp you have all the drivers installed? Do you have power going to the MOTOR part of the board? Can you post a picture of the board all wired up?

i have the 5 stepper drivers that came with the board installed, but do not have power run to the motor section so maybe that is the problem, question is i have the power supply that came with the kit, can i use it and just run two sets of wires off the plug to those and the board power connectors?

Yeah. The current here is not that large. Just make two short wires to go from power to motor.

thank you that fixed that problem, and has gotten me moving. now I just need to figure out why when I home z one of the moters wants to move up and the other moves down, but when I move the axis it is fine

Before homing, make sure to test the switches with M119 and make sure they all make sense. Pay close attention to matching the motors with the endstops in dual endstop axis. Also make sure the jogging is moving the right way, and then home.

If jogging is not going the correct direction (which is what I suspect) all you have to do is flip any one connection for the motor.

switches are all triggering correctly and movement is correct. the only two problems I have now are that I need to set the bed size and figure out how to get the z axis to home down instead of up. I’m having some problems getting the firmware to compile in vs

oh and I can’t seem to get the touch screen to work. it works in marlin mode but not in touch screen

Could you possibly send a picture of what you did? In repetier mine show “Bad response” and connection with Error: ALL LOW. I’d be interested to see what you did. Although, I think you might have a different issue. Mine is for the LR3 with the SKR Pro 1.2 board as well.

That means the skr is talking to repetier host well, but it can’t talk to the tmc drivers. Check the jumpers under and around the drivers and make sure you have the right ones. Also check that the MOTOR is powered.
