Skr board labeling

so all the way through the instructions it say label Y0 Y1 Z0 Z1
get to control board wiring and instructions say y1 y2 z1 z2

so is the original y0 i labeled now the y1 and the y1 the y2
picking its typo

Just shift them up one. I will change the LR directions. All the other machines are labeled the same as the picture.

We had a discussion about this I am not sure how I still messed that up.

sorry how u mean shift up 1
do have it in my head right the 0s are the 1s and 1s are the 2s

sorry if i sound like a real numpty, this shit used be logical but since my concussion basic things are harder than complex things
ive rebuilt the machine 3 times now because brain has skipped a few words while reading instructions

Yes.

If you take a look at the pictue you will see the real thing it is trying to show you. Which are X, Y, Z drivers and what endstops match them. The numbers are just place holders.

Software engineers argue over this all the time (index by one vs index by zero). Most settle on index by zero, but the mathematicians usually use index by one.

It’s just nice to have company in my misery sometimes.

I travel to the UK often, where my company has it headquarters.

Our building is 3 floors, and they index their floors starting with 0.

When they say “1st floor”, they mean 2nd floor, at least according to how we do it in the US…

It’s a struggle.

If I’m talking, I only say Ground floor, Middle floor, or Top floor now.

LOL Boats are done that way. We have Main deck, 01 Level, 02 Level, Wheel House. The 01 instead of 1st floor is enough seperation for me to not have it be confusing lol

If you’re in an elevator and see the ‘0’ button, it isn’t bad… But when someone says “on the second floor”, it’s harder to interpret that correctly.

With a straight face, I would say “Floor one” and “Second floor” for the same floor in that case. I am in the index by zero camp (being better at software than advanced mathematics).

It might sound like that, but you’d really be saying “Floor[1];”
