I have LR3 that has a skr pro 1.2 board in it and it has failed. I purchased a replacement board and it came as a skr v 1.4 turbo. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this swap? I have x and y end stop limit switches also.
Also is the 1.2 pro board not available any longer?
SKR version names are deceptive.
The jlportant part comes before the number.
There is the SKR, the SKR Turbo and the SKR Pro. I believe the Pro should still be available.
The problem isn’t so much the wiring, but the firmware. In the Marlinbuilder releases.pagez there should be commjmity supported firmware for the SKR 1.3/1.4 (should be the same)
The motors go in the same order as the SKR Pro, the end stops as well.
Well the 1.2 board says skr 1.2 pro and the other says btt skr v1.4 turbo. It would make sense if the boards were labeled the same and they are not. A diagram of where the wires go would be really helpful. I didn’t build this unit and am still learning about it. Thank you for the link I will look into it.
I sell the SKR Pro in the shop. The firmware we provide is for the SKR Pro.
The turbo is a completely different board and while we do have firmware for it, it is not “official firmware” and was user submitted. This is stated on the firmware page.
This also means chances are really good you did not get it from me (I did sell 5 or so of them for s super discounted rate years back as a BTT promotion).
They are not the same board at all, that is why they are not labeled the same.
This is not an officially supported V1 Engineering CNC board. The SKR Pro wiring diagram should get you very close but no, we will never have wiring diagrams for all boards that the CNC can run on since we can use any board that has 5 drivers or more.
If you want all the instructions for our machines you need to stick to officially supported Boards.
This is extremely uncommon, maybe starting here might be a better option. What exactly is not working with your SKR Pro?
Alright. Like I said I have some cnc experience but not with building one. If I take a file that I already have created and nest the part or parts on a sheet in nest and cut and then It just keeps Estlecam to get the cnc program. If you watch the cnc preview it shows the cutting path. I then transfer it to an sd card and to the machine. No matter what the machine just starts to cut/draw a large circle. It just keeps doing that. I have tried the process on 2 different computers and 2 different sd cards. I had our cnc programmer come out and look at the machine and the g code the programs are creating. He saw no issue with the code or how Estlecam was creating that code. He was the one who suggested that the board may be bad. If there is anything I can try please advise and information is great.
Start with the test crown.
That sounds like a file issue more than a board issue.
We do things similar to million dollar machines but not the same. The test crown is a known good file if that works you have a file issue not aboard issue.
I will try that. We have already purchased the board to replace the one. The board that was purchased was purchased through V1 engineering. I don’t understand why the skr 1.4 was sent. I have just ordered the SKR 1.2 board kit from your website.
When? Years back I had a few of them, they were clearly labeled as discount boards.
Otherwise, I flash and test every board, there is no way I sent a turbo by mistake.
Hello all. I built a Lowrider2 in early 2020, have used it a lot. Love it. But my Mini Rambo seems to be going bad. Came to get a new board to replace it with the intention of building a V3 soon and using the new board on it. But noticed that there is now V4. 2 questions.
Will the SKR and/or Jackpot boards work on my V2 without a ton of tweaking? And will they work with the new V4 when I upgrade?
We might be able to troubleshoot that, but you shuld start a new forum topic in the troubleshooting section.
Yes.
LR4 is being designed with SKR Pro 1.2 and Jackpot being the official controllers.
If you do start a new thread, we should talk about your current workflow as that may influence what the community recommends to you for a controller.
Please do consider a new forum topic.
The large circles I saw showed up when I used the wrong estlcam output settings. I think it was a checkbox for I/j relative coordinates below the use G2G3 curves in the setup menu under CNC programs.
So the I/J relative box needs to be checked?
I think yes. But I’m not in front of it. I toggled it and it mattered with my setup. Try it. Generate your gcode and see if it does the same thing.
