Skittles - the Game

This is a wholesome old school game that Boomers* censored from our generation because it is awesome, doesn’t feature built in obsolescence or a screen (!), and provides hours of good clean fun.

I copied the board from my old school uncle who knows what’s up.

The pins and top came from Berea College.

There are different formats – this is 48 inches lengthwise. The goal is to spin the top – hit as many pins and make it into back rooms. First person to 400 (or any number of choice) wins.

The wiki entry for skittles is no sneeze.

Next on my list is Bagatelle.

*Boomers thrive in shade or sun. USDA Zone 2-10.

OMG, I played this (they called it “pub skittles”) in a hotel at a ski resort one night. It is ridiculously fun to play, and you can/should enjoy a drink while playing. It was exactly like this.

How do you buy just the pins and tops?

I’d guess Michael’s or a mini-lathe…

From berea college.

Yeah, the option to just get the tops and pins from Berea is not always available. They were not there all of Jan but appeared in Feb. So keep on eye on their website or maybe call.

Forget the game… tell me more about those speaker stands. I need a set for my living room speakers that are currently sitting on the floor.

Lol.

Just some stands I conjured up in Fusion 360. .5 inch maple ply. If I did it again I would make them more low profile, like this: http://www.troelsgravesen.dk/SBAcoustics-3WC.htm
