Well I have made a wake surf board before, I have never built a skim board. So I made one for my niece. After getting some input from the great ppl on this site I decided to use hood one side 1/2” ply. I soaked the nose in water then setup a ramp for using my truck to hold its shape for a bit of nose rocker.
Then just played around and tried some different things like water soaked tape and burning a graphic in. It worked alright, I also added one layer of cloth ontop so I could get my chubby self on for a try. Anyways was a fun project she liked it and rode it decent.
