Simple Foam Conduit Adapter/Flange Thing

Projects can be small and simple yet useful and satisfying.

The building for my LR3’s new home is complete, but today’s job was running conduit for electric. I have holes through the block into my basement. They’re a bit oversized but they’ll be cemented in. Since I wanted the conduit to be centered in the hole, I realized I could very quickly create a temporary foam adapter to achieve that. I created two in different sizes since I have a separate conduit for running ethernet out there.

That is an awesome use for a CNC! I probably would have 3d printed something and never even thought about cutting it out like that! Great job!

Thanks. I probably will end up 3D printing a trim piece to go around it since I had to cut through the paneling.

The foam cutting was probably 100x faster than a 3D print. And if it isn’t a perfect fit, just give it a push.

Nice work.

That was my first thought when I saw it and realized I never would have even thought to do that  Hopefully next time I will think about it and use the faster route LOL

I think about it for larger things, but never something like this. This is just awesome!

That worked great, and it was way faster than printing it.
