Thanks for the kind words!
Not yet! The version I made had a couple of issues (flaws). I made a mistake in the design of the part that attaches to the brace, and it was interfering with inserting the top screw. I had to melt a channel using a soldering iron to be able to slide the screw into place.
I also didn’t adjust for the thickness of my struts, so the tabs with the screw holes were bending when tightened, and cracked in one place. Once again a quick touch up with a soldering iron repaired the crack, but I’m not satisfied with the original design enough to share it with the world yet.
I am, however, currently working on an updated version that will address these issues, and will post it on Printables when it is ready. I’m not sure how I will address the issue of different thickness struts yet, so I may have to figure out a semi-parametric model that can allow the user to enter their own thickness and have the model follow along.
I have lots of other irons in the fire at the moment, so I’m not sure when this will be available, but I’ll post back here when it happens.
The mister uses an 8mm (OD) push to connect air hose fitting. I used:
(1) 8mm push to connect to 1/4NPT Male adapter
(1) 8mm push to connect shutoff valve
(1) 8mm push to connect fittings kit
(1) 50’ 8mm air hose w/ quick connect fittings (the quick connect fittings don’t fit most standard compressor or air line fittings, but it was actually cheaper to buy it with the fittings and toss them)
(1) 1/4 NPT Female quick connect fitting (male)
(Note: All of these links are for Amazon Canada, but they will give you an idea of what you might need)
You might not need all of the above. A section of 8mm hose, the push to connect to 1/4 NPT adapter and the 1/4 NPT quick coupler would be the bare minimum…
