Screen TFT35 V3 E3 with SKR Pro1.2 no printer connected issue

I am building a MP3DP using the SKR pro 1.2 board

I have wired up my power supply, and board.

The SKR board has lights D6, D8, and D12 on

The screen has light D6 on.

However i cannot get the screen to turn on, Im assuming you push in the dial or turn it, however nothing seems to get the LCD screen to turn on.

I purchased the setup from V1e.

Do i need to flash the screen with firmware before i can turn it on, usually these screens come with factory firmware so surprised the screen is not responding…

So after reading through the forums, i notices someone had the following issue…

When the RST connector is plugged in, the screen does not turn on, when it is unplugged the screen turns on.

Should my system work when this connector is plugged in? Or do i leave it unplugged?

The screen seems to be working fine however… I am getting a no printer attached error on my screen

I re-flashed both the board and the screen, and it seems to be back to game on! But wait…

So I found something funny out…

When my board is not attached to my aluminum extrusions everything works as expected… However as soon as i re-attach my set up to my frame the screen no longer works.

Looks like there is a short somewhere in my mounting screws to my frame that is preventing the screen from turning on

This is why you use plastic washers on your control boards… So silly of me

Washer I had under the fastener was shorting out the reset button on the board.
