that looks like a clever idea
Those are really not too new and available in dozens of iterations. If you wanna plane a slab manually quickly, it’s pretty good. 
Agreed. This is the first one I’ve personally seen that’s “mostly printed”. I would be very surprised if the guy didn’t take quite a bit of inspiration from v1e.
