Ryan (and others), thoughts on making a CNC using Aluminum Square Tube (6063 T52), say 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" (1/8" Wall)?

I like these wheeled carriages, but:

  1. only for relatively low-force applications, and
  2. they relay on the profile’s groove – so probably not great for square tube.

Anyone dabbled with Igus’ (or other brand) bearing filament? See:

Maybe having an option for plain bearings would be nice?
