Router with ER11 collet for $60

It’s 6.5 amps, same as the Makita. It doesn’t list an HP rating.

For comparison, the Kobalt is listed as 1 1/4 HP, same as the Makita, but is 7 amps.

Their website says, free shipping for U.S. and Canadian customers on orders over $50. I didn’t see any mention of shipping cost for overseas customers.

Well, it also says this:

Note: The ER-11 Compact Router is only available in 120V with a standard US plug.

About 50 countries use that.

It‘s basically the same functionality my AMB has, and it‘s awesome, the only drawback is that the rapidchange does not work with it since it can’t turn backwards… :frowning:

Kinda wish I’d bought that instead of the Makita… Would work out the same price as Makita + special import 1/8" collet.

Might see if the metalworkers at the Hackspace can fabricate one

Uhhhhh sounds like a good replacement for the er11 carvide router and dont take the hassle of the vfd wires run

Whooppee! Ordered on Monday and delivered on Thursday. Nothing to squawk 'bout there, at all. Thanks again, Robert, for the heads-up. I’ll bet they’ve had a real run on them…

Two sets of extra brushes, 1/4" and 1/8" collets, and extra long power cord. Don’t know when I’ll get around to playing with it but it’s here when I need it… provided I don’t do my usual; i.e. put it away for safe keeping and then forget where I put it.

:unamused:

And now you put it on the M3PRP, right? Right?!

Oh I know the feeling. I’ve got strata. Anyone want a 5kW tungsten flood?!

I’m gonna work up to it. Probably gonna start with one of the little 775 motor “spindles” that I’ve already got a mount printed for it. I’ve just gotten all the “upgrades” made to my MPR&P installed and am still playing around with basic pen plotting and such. The gantry has gotten so big and heavy that I’ve had to back off on the “improved” accelerations I made during testing, to soften the movements. I think it’ll be fine if/when I start slowing things down for a router/spindle rather than a pen plotter…

Well now I want a M3DPRP just to have it noodle around drawing stuff with a pen forever. Somewhat like a zenxy (also on the project list…) for those of us that get lost in mechanisms…
