Rotating table for Lowrider 4

i’ve just assembled my lowrider 4, in the process of calibrating it and working out a few wiring kinks. I’ve built myself a table that rotates along the centre axis, so I can store the table vertically to save space. I used the plans from Fisher’s youtube video and modified them to suit. Its a really good design.

My question is, if the table rotates 180 degrees so I can use the underside as an assembly table I’d like to keep the LR4 mounted upside down. so I don’t need to disassemble it. Has anyone done a similar setup or have an idea of how I could keep it from falling off the rails? Would storing it upside down cause any long term problems?

Cool idea!

The LR4 is designed so you can easily pop off the belts and lift the whole thing off the table, so just having a good place to store it would probably be the way to go. The Y rail would stay attached to the table with no issue.

I’m now thinking I might make a protective “coffin” to store mine safely when needed… too bad halloween is over.

I considered just removing it, but then I have to store it somewhere. If I can store it on the table then that is just simpler. Maybe some bungee straps looped around the XZ plates and hooked into some loops fitted into the T-track might work.

I currently have a LR3 with a table that flips up 90 degrees for storage. I was using bungie cords wrapped around the gantry to an eyelet hook screwed into the table at the top of it. It certainly works but it isn’t super ideal or elegant. The first time I tipped the table up vertical, my anxiety ramped right up.

Here is how I hang the LR3 from bungee cords.
