RMRRF 2025, portable V1E Project Gallery

Wifi is sketchy and slow at live events. So… Thinking of bringing snapshot/backup of V1E Project Gallery on some tablets to RMRRF 2025. Feedback and suggestions appreciated, cheers!

@azab2c , Awesome! I like the QR code idea for a show/booth type environment. I think the slideshow would be beneficial as an attention grabber and then you could go into the static mode when someone walks over showing interest.

It looks like your current focus is on projects (except for the Zen tables). Are you going to include a machine gallery as well?

Super excited!!!

So for the tablet / show mode will it shuffle or just play through in order, or should we leave it as a page and let people scroll around?

So… The gallery displays images and video tiles. You can manually scroll, search, filter, or just leave it alone and it’ll start auto scrolling through the currently filtered images/videos. Have only downloaded videos referenced by gallery topic posts from YT channels that consented in the related DM we have.

That would be great. Right now machines and projects are bundled together. Either the topics need some editing and curating by forum admin/editor. And/Or, some curating needs to be done after data has been imported into the gallery store. Still figuring out, guessing some of us will bounce ideas at RMRRF.

Am loading up content onto fresh tablet today… Will update/share setup info on the limited shared repo, but I will have 2-3 tablets with me too.

Does anyone sell any of the things they made using a V1E machine that they also gallery tagged?

If @vicious1’s ok with this? If people add a post to their gallery tagged topic with #BUY {their product or shop url} then the gallery scraper scripts can use that info to create QR codes that let’s attendees visit your store to buy a thing. Feel like that could be powerful to show off that people can make money with their V1E machines. Many people at these events seem to be interested in wanting a built project/product, even though they don’t have the time/motivation to make a machine. Sorry if this is inappropriate, let me know? To help clarify, I’ll mock something up based Jonathan and Doug’s posts.
