Resin printing a lowrider cnc

being the owner of a couple of resin 3D printers and loving the presion of resin printing I decided to print several of the parts necessary to the overall build of a lowrider cnc machine.

Photo cured resin is very accurate and ridgid as the specs call for but is a lot quicker then filament seeing as it prints the whole layer in just a few seconds. however the layer height is 1/5th the layer height of the filament. that gives two things to the results. one is rigidity and the other is definition and accuracy.

Interesting, please keep us updated as you carry on your build.

My experience with resin is it tended to be very brittle. Of course there’s a lot more varieties of resins now. l’m curious to see if that becomes an issue for you.

That was my thought too… Interested to see the results though.

You can mix resins. I’ve mixed a flexible with standard, like and it adds a bit of give to it

Did you ever print the parts in resin?
