Removable Table Top

I am planning my build and trying to find a way to save shop space as I really don’t have space for a dedicated table. My current idea is to take my table saw outfeed/build table (~30" x 60", very solid build, uses a heavy, old 2" thick table top and screw on, self-leveling legs) and lay 1/2" BB plywood over the top and 3" down the side to build the lowrider onto. It would set onto the tabletop with pegs to keep it in place. Then when I am not using I will strap/hook/velcro the lowrider to the top sheet and lift the whole to the ceiling or against the wall in a minute or 2.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

You can move the machine to one end and it only takes up 14" or so. Probably the easiest most secure thing to do. I work on my LowRider table all the time.

I was concerned with hitting the belts.

Take one end off. I run into mine all the time. Usually hurts me more than the belts. Really need to round over the cut zip tie end… Then you can just screw it back to the end of the table when you need it.
