Query on play - X/Y Gantry

Hi!

I have just completed the mechanical bit of my first MPCNC (Primo) build - lots of fun!

While I shop for the board, drivers and ESP and wait for them to make their way to Aus I was hoping to ask a question regarding play/movement out of square on the X and Y gantry.

If I manually move one of the trucks (and don’t push evenly on the other truck) I can see it move out of square (i.e one truck leads the other). Would that be expected and be effectively addressed by the steppers evenly driving each side? Just trying to ensure I got it right before I embark on the electricals.

Any guidance is greatly appreciated and I apologise if I have posted in the wrong spot/messed something up with this post (first one!)

Yes. With the steppers engaged motion will be locked. Using endstops at the start of the travel distance (zero) means both sides start at the same place ensureing squareness.
