PSU voltage

Hi!
Ive found a couple of old PSU ”bricks”, one 18V and one 19V. Can i use any of them with the LR3 SKR PRO 1.2? Are there any software settings to be changed depending on what voltage your PSU has?

The SKR will be ok on 18 or 19 volts. The thing to look for is the current the psu can supply, is it enough for the stepper motor needs? Typically those black power bricks are around 3 to 5 amps which will be just about ok, V1 sells a 24v 2.5Amp power supply (which therefore delivers 60 watts) so your 19v power supply needs to deliver at least 3.15 Amps to be comparable. Also keep in mind any fans or other ancillary devices fitted must be compatible with the supply voltage …no 12V fans!
I can’t think of any settings that would need changing.

The 19V PSU can give 4,74A so it should do! :+1:t3:
