So, I’ve mocked and printed this up, basically, it’s three pieces, one, tight fit around the base of the router. A lower magnetic piece that will have bristles attached, and then a massive “adapter” that goes around the router, and to my dust collection.
This keeps the form factor narrower, and doesn’t eat up as much workspace as a traditional 4" connector beside the router would. The surface area of the arc is pretty close to what the 4" pipe had.
Unfortunately, it’s too cold to get out there and run a test carve right now… it’s -24c, and I only got the shop to ~3c after 6 hours of running the heater…
I look forward to trying this out. Any major issues/changes people would suggest, or I should watch for?
