The first attempt to let my alfawise U30 print the primo core ended in a hangup after 30.8 mm. Previously during that session, the display had shown strange colour patterns… OK, new start, looking good until about 45 mm height. Again strange colours, but still printing. Several hours later, the display was blank, just a white plane. But - still printing.
Finally, after about 48 hours (0.2mm slices, 4 periphery tracks, 75% honeycomb, 60mm/s max) tadataataaaa! - nice one.

Whew! At least it seems it may just be the display.
Well, ‘the display’ is a complex subsystem too. I assume the printing process runs as a master loop while interfacing the display and its associated switches is some sort of an interrupt driven routine where it does not matter in all cases and situations what it does and if and how it reacts.
Speaks for the qualification of the programmer…
