Primo Bill of Materials

I was wondering if there is a Primo Bill of Materials page like for the Burly? https://www.v1engineering.com/blog/parts/

this what you are looking for?

https://docs.v1engineering.com/mpcnc/PParts/

Yes that is what I was looking for. I have been wanting to possibly print the parts but not sure I want to take the time. Also can’t really afford to buy them either right now. Do you know anyone making parts for sale? Let me know , please.
Thank you so much for the quick reply.

Ryan is the only one who can sell new printed parts (well I think there is one authorized seller in Europe too). It is how he supports designing this amazing machine. if your looking for a cheap used machine. Keep an eye on the “for sale” thread category.

That said I do have some burly parts that I printed by accident (not a complete set) I would be happy to send them too you for the price of shipping.

Ok thanks. I can appreciate Ryans efforts. I’ve been a supporter for awhile. I may just buy the Core and print the rest.
Thanks again,

@Dave just a silly question from a newbie. Is there a reason you don’t want to print your own parts?

I ask as I’m still learning both 3D printing and my way around here.

Hi Tom,
I have a lot on the table trying to get my shop squared away and finished so I can comfortably work in it. It just takes time to print all the parts. That’s why I said maybe I will buy the core parts then print the rest. Good luck with your 3D printing endeavor. You’ll get there just be patient read a lot, watch videos and do the research needed.
Thanks for the comment

Thanks
That makes sense.

I’m organizing mine too. That’s what got me into the 3D printing. I needed ways to organize all the tools I have. So what do I do, start building another big one!

FWIW, buying the parts doesn’t cost that much more than the plastic. Ryan’s parts are good quality and you support the design. Having a printer is still helpful for accesories, reprints, or modifications. I have always printed my parts, but there is no shame in buying them.

@jeffeb3 I agree. We all need to decide what works best for us.

My question was to learn and understand. And hearing what others think gives me different perspectives and that can help down the road. For instance, I’d never of thought about ordering the parts as I see it as part of the process.

But my goal is to learn how to use my 3D printer and how to make decent prints. Having a specific project to help with that goal only makes it easier and more interesting for me.

Learning CAD and gcode is something I can see useful for both the 3D printer and CNC router. And the MPCNC can help with that.

I can see someone more interested in woodworking, sign making or whatever being more interested in getting a functioning MPCNC quicker as more important and maybe wanting to order the parts. So I get it.

I will say that the mpcnc parts are not necessarily the pest parts to try and dial in and practice printing. Most are large prints with a lot of structural requirements. So it’s hard to tell how successful a print you had until you have wasted hours of printing and filament. And a insufficient print isn’t always obvious to the naked eye and can cause a lot of trouble shooting time latter on.

Ryan did an amazing job with these parts where most people have no issues. Just throwing it out there that if I wasjust learning I would want to start on smaller structural pieces.

@Atom good points. I’m starting with the small things like the feet. And all looks good so far. I’m also printing other things. It’s been a progression of small things to slightly larger then a little larger etc.

I’m in no rush, so it’s not like this has to be done today, tomorrow or even next week. It’s more important to make good parts and then to build the MPCNC. It’s also nice to know Ryan is a source if things change or if I run into a part that gives me fits.
