Power wiring

Hello,

My question pertains to the power wiring of the SKR pro. I am very new to cnc in general and this is my first time I am working on one, so I am wondering what the different sets of connectors are for and do I need to connect a power supply to all 4?

It depends on what you’re using the SKR Pro for.

For CNC usage, there is no need at all to connect wiring to the heated bed input, and of course, no need to connect anything at all to the heated bed output.

You do need to connect power to the motor input, and unless you’re going to have USB always connected to something, you also need power connected to the logic power input.

That’s from the documentation page. Those are the power wires that the CNC needs.

The motor wires are a little different for the Primo versus the LowRider, so it depends on which CNC you’re building.

This is all a little different if you’re building the “repeat” 3D printer.
