Portable Rolling Tray - A stoner's wooden dream

What shall I say, I do love designing new stuff, even though I’m not gonna use it personally.
Also, I love pencil cases. So it’s a case again, but this time for the friendly neighbourhood pothead. Acutally, a guy from the skatepark that always helps my son and me (he is only smoking the THC free weed, so basically beer without alcohol…).

(The camera from my mobile does shitty pictures of oiled stuff… Uff. It looks way better in real life…)

Why would you bother with that?

Love the box you’ve made.

Same reason you drink alcohol free beer or eat plant based “meat”. Like the taste, don’t like being drunk, high or killing animals. :yum:

The local headshop wants me to manufacture two for them… I am thinking honey locust and purple heart.

He also asked me whether I could make him a chess board… :flushed:

Remember kids: Purple Heart is hard… way harder than Honey Locust. And my endmills aren’t too sharp any more… Managed to destroy one tray after 5 seconds, the other one took a few minutes… The X stepper did not lose its way though, no alarm was triggered, so I can definitely say that the closed loop was worth it.

New version with bigger lighter holder amd 8.2mm holes so you can use active filters that are 8mm (Purple Heart):

Old version with too small lighter holder and 6mm holes (Honey Locust):

I really, really like both of them but the Honey Locust really is a very nice wood.

A few more…

That turned out great Philipp.

Our local Headshop just bought them both… :flushed: He is going to sell them for my MSRP of 45/50 and gave me 25/30 for them. That’s less than I’d get on Etsy, but I haven’t sold one there yet and he is able to suggest it to people. So win/win for both of us.

He also commissioned a chess board…

Purple heart tray sold right in front of me when I went in to inquire something about the chess board.

He wants to buy another one. :confetti_ball:

So, if you are in the US where smoking is legal, grab the files from my website (Dosen – HaWiWe), cut one in nice wood , go to your dispensary or however they are called and go earn some money. :yum:

I made a new version out of cherry. Now fits a normal sized Clipper and the way it is now, the picture always faces up. :stuck_out_tongue:

The local headshop has sold 2 as of now and I have sold 3 myself. So not too much, but not too shabby either.

Great work!! And kudos for making the Clipper compatible version, that was the first thing I thought of in the first pic :joy:

For those who don’t know, clippers are awesome cuz they: are round so you can smother a bowl to save some for later, are refillable, and the flint is replaceable…yay less stuff in landfills! Best yet, the part that holds the flint can be pulled up and out, and then bam, you have a lil stick to pack your joint down with. I swear man, stoner engineering is one of my favorite engineering disciplines lol

Source: I…uhh… let’s just say they practically give it away in Michigan

I am literally allergic asthmatic and gastricly almost died in HS 50 years ago. No big deal to me but love the holder and design. Still not legal in WI but it is in nearby illinois.

One can appreciate the quality and creativity of the design whether or not one partakes.
