hello colleagues!
i have tried the milling recently
and would like to carve some easy nice rosette pattern with some smooth surface.
i dont want to carve flat images, it`s less interesting.
Thank you!

That’s pretty vague.
Take your chosen rosette pattern in stl format and open it in estlcam.
Set the tool parameters to suit your material
Save as gcode and run it on your CNC.
hi @Dreyfus ,
thank you for answer!
yes i can use estlcam, and i need some pattern)
if i uploaded in estlcam some svg, jpg, it would be a flat carving…
pls point me on some 3d pattern if you know
Your favourite search engine should have no trouble finding some. I don’t have any recommendations as its not something I need to do. I have made some things of similar complexity though.
This sort of carving is significantly more complicated than flat cutting in my personal experience. you will likely need to have replacement tools on hand for when you dull or break bits.
The search you are looking for is “Bas Relief STL”. You can google it, or here is a webpage that has a list of sites that contain these kinds of files, and here is a second list. Some are free, some have a modest price.
For your first one, I recommend a very simple design with few details, and I recommend carving it out of foam.
In addition to STL files, you can also take a look at images in a “gray scale depth relief” format. I don’t think Estlcam can use this format directly, but there are several ways of converting these files to an STL format.
