I tried to do a piece on LR3 at high speed, and I know if it was at lower speed it will be nice peace.
3000/6mm 2flute bit, 5mm deep
On the conners is the big problem…

Still looks okay though. With a finishing pass you might even get those corners right.
Looks like plunge points at the corners. I wonder if ramping in slower on the straight sides before accelerating to full cut speed would improve the corners as well.
Super-impressed at those speeds though.
I would keep the speed for hogging out while leaving 0.5mm of stock, followed by a separate operation much slower with one finishing pass.
Some CAM software allows for plunging away from the contour. I do that in Fusion 360 to avoid deformities caused by the end mill.
Help a new guy out here. … Am I looking at backlash from belt stretching?
