curious if anyone has gotten into parametric wall art? what software did you use to create the effect and then slice it?
i see files on etsy but i would love to be able to create it myself.
If you already have a 3D model, take a look at LuBan 3D. Its Stack function converts the model into layered slices, while Hash creates an interlocking rib-style structure.
I used the Hash function a few years ago to make lamps like the one in the photo. You can adjust the material thickness, spacing and overall size, then export the parts for CNC
Oh, nice. I used to use Autodesk Slicer, but they discontinued it and it does not work on Linux. (And I do not mean the addon for Fusion 360 that also does not exist any more, but I can’t find it for the life of me, neither on my PC.)
