Hello all,
It has been a minute since I have been here and I hope all are well.
I have made the decision to down size my LR3 to have a 24" X 24" work area and I can’t/don’t want to commit any more dedicated floor space for this machine(hoping to get my sawstop soon and that will take up a chunk) So my plan is this: my current workbench/ assembly table is a shave over 36" wide X 7’ long. I am redoing the top of it to have melamine and t-track. I could use the benchtop to support my LR3. in the past I used MDF strips for the LR3 to “drive” on, I figure I can use the T track and run bolts (countersunk) through the MDF to hold it in place so I can my LR3 work on my flat bench and then when the job is done I could simply remove and continue with my project, of course I would have a spoilboard on the benchtop as well.
Does anyone see anything wrong with this idea?
