Open Sauce 2025

I will be at Open Sauce 2025! They gave Ryan some trouble applying as a business. I applied as an open source project for Sandify and so Ryan and I will both be at OS2025.

Ryan is bringing his ZenXY and LR4. I am cooking up something to bring. And I’m still working on logistics. It should be awesome and I hope to see some of you there.

Open Sauce looks to be another fun event, but I’m not able to make it this year :poop: (family event). Look forward to seeing event pics/video, especially if there’s some new V1 machine(s)/updates being revealed? Hoping updated Compass will be there too?

Am thinking of checking out Lawn & Landscape technology conference https://www.lltechconference.com July 23-25th in Las Vegas…

@azab2c , I don’t think I ever saw any skinned Tesla truck photos from last year. Did you share those somewhere?

I must have not asked the right person.

I have a feeling since our booth switched from V1E to Sandify, they put us in the generative art section. But that may be giving them too much credit.

Are businesses that cater to makers not allowed to exhibit? Odd…

The price to exhibit changes drastically I believe.

Wait! Open sauce charges??? That sucks!

Ah got it - well check mate OpenSauce! See you there

It’s free for open source, no profit projects like sandify. E3D, Prusa, Crunch Labs pay a lot. Ryan also pays for RMRRF, as a sponsor. That’s what pays for the building. RMRRF is free to visit. OS costs a lot to visit, but free to exhibit.

The first year I got in because they were short exhibits, second year they denied me because I was a business then after a short email from me they said they would grandfather me in, once. The least costly biz booth for open sauce is ~8x the biggest voluntary sponsorship package RMRRF offers. I would love to be in a position to buy a booth at open sauce but that would probably mean no RMRRF and definitely no SMRRF. So lucky to have Friends in creative places to let me hang out at the show…thanks Sandify.org!

Open sauce is very different, I love it. The venue is very large and in California so it can’t be cheap. On top of that I think a lot of the expense is getting the creators there, but that is a large part of the draw for the majority of the visitors. So expensive door tickets are understandable, and so are the sponsorships, it is a pretty unique event. No complaints.

Ok that looks cool. I have thought about doing foam in some of my drawers for stuff like this but the thought of having to figure out how to get it cut just right always annoyed me lol. I need to look into this more!
