Octopi/octoprint rpi

So far now that everything is done it seems to be running well. I still have to connect to printer and make it print something.

Is octodash an alternative to TouchUI?

Sort of, but not really. Instead of running as a plugin to octoprint, it is a side UI that just talks to the same back end. But it is snappy and simple.

Do you find one easier than the other in both in layout and installation?

octodash was harder to install, for sure. But I think octoprint loads faster when touchui isn’t installed and I think the octodash interface is more responsive. But it doesn’t have every feature I’d like, so I still use the web interface all the time.

Thanks for the input. I will probably stick with touchUI if I ever do another one. That was enough of a pain.
