Improved, new, reusable zip ties! 4 lengths to choose from, batches included, PETG recommended, but PLA works too, v2.0

Note: all models and batches assume a print bed size of at least 200 x 200 mm. The zip ties longer than that are turned at 45 degrees in order to fit on the bed. Be aware that the new retainer loop feature, which allows attaching zip tie to a cord both while it’s in use and in storage, requires a tight loop that may break PLA, which is one reason why PETG (more flexible) is recommended.

Two things to consider: That model does not allow remixing, and it does not provide a batch layout. Mine does both. I created every last polygon of mine (no reuse of anyone else’s work).

I didn’t want to insinuate you did copy it, just wondered why you’d make nearly the same version. The different licence is important though and explains it.

Did you try making them from TPU?

TPU might be great depending on which number. I have not tried that yet.

If I can finally get a TPU profile for the MMU I am going to try.

If get that done please let me know how it goes!

PETG works real nice on these.

UPDATE (EDITED LATER):

NEW as of July 17, 2024: new version 2.0 added. Includes new ratchet style lock tab with spring-flex quick release tab, which also doubles as a wedge to prevent unintended loosening, and a new retainer slot so the zip tie can stay attached to a cord both while in use and in storage.

I want to remix this to add unicorns or maybe Hello Kitty. :grinning:

Or the V1 logo? I can see using these on my machine. Then each time I have to adjust something in the wiring it isn’t a snip and a new zip tie each time.
