New to CNCing (with pics) - Where is home?

You need to find out if a wire is disconnected (most likely) or some other issue.
Do you have a DMM to measure the resistance of the coil pairs at the X axis stepper wire connector where it plugs into the Jackpot?

If not, the swap the X connector with one of the Y. (Always ppower off the system before plugging or unplugging a cable). With the wires swapped, try to jog Y. Does X then move or not?

Good idea. I switched the wire for X with one of the Y and it was able to move just fine. Does this mean it’s an issue with the X port on the Jackpot itself? Any suggestions on what I could do next?

Power off. Put the cables back in the right spots.
Flip the TMC2209 drivers between the two spots.
Power back up.
Does X move correctly now or not?

I switched the drivers, as you recommended, and now everything is working as it should! Thank you!!!

But how do I interpret this? I thought the X was going to work fine after the switch, but the Y (that used to be X) wasn’t going to work. Why did switching them cause both to work fine?

Furthermore, what would cause the driver in the X slot to stop working when it jammed while cutting?

I interpret this that there’s either been an intermittent wiring/bad connection (e.g. something yanked on a the stpper motor cable and made it lose connection), or that somethig upset the driver when the machine got jammed. Without more details it’s hard to say.

It is something wo watch carfeully.

I’d jog the machine around and in particular move X back and forth to its full range of travel to see if anything is intermittent.

I moved the machine all around and cut some more. It’s working great. I’m looking forward to making some dust over the next few weeks and really getting to know the machine. You all have been so awesome and I appreciate the help. I’ve been blown away by the design and detail that has gone into the design and the help that the community has been. Thank you all!
