New polar design. Formerly "Look what I found"

I hesitate to post them here unless @Ryan is ok with it. He makes his living selling the Zen and is kind enough to be ok with us showing off alternate machines. If he is ok with it I don’t mind sharing.

Just looked at your table which looks superior to mine except for table depth. I think I’m going to steal your 2 esp32 idea, do you have a pic of the ui that the 2nd unit uses?

Ryan can pop in and give his opinion, but in the past, the attitude has always been in favor of sharing.

No problem whatsoever, thanks for asking!

See attached, didn’t intend this for distribution so its a bit rough.

SandStick STL Final.zip (971.6 KB)

I included a rendering so you can see how the parts fit together. To be honest though this was a junk pile build using what I had on hand not what was ideal. I had everything but the control board and slip ring in the misc parts bin.

Hardware:
Length of 2040 extrusion
Slip Ring (min 8 wires more if you want endstop)
3 V-Groove Bearings
2 Pullies (GT2 5mm)
GT2 Belt 5mm - Get about 10 inches more than you need for treads on wheels.
Nema 17 for X
Nema 14 for Y
2 Magnets from old hdd.
Misc Cap head screws 2-5mm with nuts cant remember which go where.
2040 Nut holders found on thingiverse,
2 wall anchors (The cheapo ones you normally toss when you get something to hang) - theses are perfect for attaching to end of the 2040

Hope this helps!
