New MPCNC for 2020! - Primo -

And Fourier transforms were fun too. Just calculus in general

If I go to Shop → Mostly Printed CNC, I don’t even see belts as an option. It’s only listed under parts for the LowRider. And yeah, I know there’s a link to the belt right there in the listing for the upgrade kit, but I just wanted to point that out.

Heck I ordered extra belt length, because who knows…

Never a bad idea.

Me too

New design looks good!! I can’t wait to get it up and running. Any update on when more Rambo boards will be in? I was going to buy a bunch of stuff from the shop and I don’t want to pay for the shipping twice if they will be back in stock soon.

Thanks!

The one class I failed in college was the math physics course, which covers fourier transform, among other things. I ended up taking the equivalent in the engineering department, and IT MADE SO MUCH SENSE. I am convinced the context made it way more clear, although the teacher and book were different. I might have actually learned something the first time.

I’ve started printing! I have a foot that’s 2 hours in. Expecting 1 more hour.

Newbie question- I’m noticing a lifting lifting on one side in the corners. I suspect it may be due to having the AC running in the room. Is there an easy way to fix this for the next part? Will it impact the usability of the foot if it isn’t perfectly flat?

Just paranoid, I guess… Thanks in advance for sharing your collective wisdom.

If you have a heated bed, upping the temp a few degrees can help. Also just a big box, or even the bottom half of a box, no lid, around the printer will help. Keeps the breezes off the print. I’ve actually printed stuff with just a paper ring a few inches bigger than the part around the part. Leave it loose so the hotend can move it as it prints.

What Barry said.
Also you can use Brim, 5mm to 10 min should be enough to keep the corners down

Or mouse ears.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll give them a try on foot #2. Any concerns with the using this foot? Seems like its not critical.

I did the same. I calculated what I needed and then said, eh, what the hell, I could use a few extra meters! (Who knows, I might need a replacement one day…)

As long as it mostly doesn’t rock, should be alright. The tubes will keep it straight, screws just keep it from moving. Don’t forget it’s off a little though, you could crack it if you tighten the screws too much.
