New MPCNC for 2020! - Primo -

Soon, but not yet.

Sure hope so, I tested it as best as I could and I am seeing an actual difference.

No, not in the fusion360 sense. This is just a new approach to some of the parts.

I should really link some that I like.

I swear this isn’t a fetish of mine, but… that foot looks sexy.

Thanks but man, I really do not like the look of that screw slot that goes all the way up to the lock. That foot had too much time spent on it so I am calling it good…but if I get a good Idea I will certainly change it.

The screw hold down slots are all offset by at least two layers to make them stronger and hopefully prevent layer splits.

you can see it in the lower picture the left most one is thicker than the right one, which is still thicker than the previous foot.

I would not have noticed that. Smart.

Impressive attention to detail.

I did something similar with a slot I needed to add. Let me see if it makes sense for you.

Yeah I looked into just making it shorter like that but getting a screwdriver in there would have been tricky.

That what socket head screws and ball-end allen wrenches are for…

I am specifying phillips pan head on this build so if anyone wants to venture out on their own they can’t blame me when things need to get ground down.

That’s a good way to get me to not build a project. If I have to use one of those stupid bent pieces of metal to assemble something I’m not doing it. I’d much prefer the ability to grab my nice T-handled set or better yet the ratchet.

The bridging on color change is genius!!

is the control board going to change? im going to finish ht e mpcnc ive printed but want to make sure the control boards and steppers and all arent going to be changing.

Nope, same motors, same controller, same conduit/tubing. Just the plastic parts are changing, and maybe some small hardware bits. So far anyway. And you can use any control board you want, really. I’m using a mks gen L because that’s what I had laying around after I upgraded my 3d printer.
