Why not DOM, and 5" Z is pointless. DOM is (usually)cheaper and slightly better (needs to be protected from rust), drop table for large material is by far an extremely better option. If you would like to discuss this further a new topic would be the best option.
SS over DOM due to my proximity to the ocean and not wanting one more thing to have to keep waxed/T9’d. As for a different topic, I get it. Was that aimed at the Z or the tubing?

Perfectly good reason! Any topic you want to discuss further should be in a new thread. This thread has turned into a monster and full of tangents. This sort of thing makes good information hard to find.
