With a wife who can only use one leg for the next few months, it looks as though we’ll be heading home much earlier than planned!

Core one upgrade kits are down to 2-3 week delivery though, so just maybe there’s a bright side!:grimacing:

OK, things are going well enough now in an odd sort of way - the screws in her foot are great, the stitches out, 6 more weeks with the foot off the ground, at least two months on crutches afterwards, so we won’t be going anywhere for a while once we get home.

Maybe I’ll be too busy being full time carer to assemble the CoreOne? Or maybe I should just order it now so it will be despatched before we return on 20th?

Order two, so Jo can build one as well. Might get boring if she’s immobile.

I have one reservation until the new MMU comes out - I do quite a lot of manual colour swapping for various reasons - I can’t see that that will be easy with the Bowden tube? I suspect (no reason for this) that the new MMU might be a different machine entirely - so I might have to think about the second one then?

I think the MMU is going to be completely different but compatible with the other machines. Changing filament does still work, pretty easily I guess, you just push the filament in at the side of the machine after changing the spool. The system is quite good even if you don’t have an MMU.

Good to know - I usually have two spools side by side and just feed into the extruder, it’s super efficient on the Mk4/s. I think I’m about to order…
