New life to a old surf

Well it was behind the beer fridge for years and the original owner mentioned they wanted to come out surfing.
So I digitized the old pads shape and cut some new ones.
I was pretty rushed with kids wanting to go out so just ran with it. And didn’t adhere the Eva foam well so I had some major depth inconsistencies but it’s really grippy.
Also I had to hand shape the center spine as it’s 5 layers of foam and I didn’t have the brain power to get that cut figured out.
It’s so your foot can kind of grab and you can twist etc.

Also for anyone doing Eva foam stuff, your best friend at glue removal is chlorinated brake clean. Just spray it let it soak and it scrapes off effortlessly.
I have had to deal with contact cement a lot in my job and this works so well.

Also the original owner came on the boat and taught my 10 year old how to lake start !!! What a great time.

Now I am 3D printing a surf

The brake clean for adhesive removal afvice is almost worth another post. Will be testing on a range of adhesives on monday  great surf repair too. Will be adding this application to my repertoir.
