That design has been around for quite some time before creality copied it. Neat idea.

I think this has been around since early 2021-ish

Like others have said. they started that a few years back. but they have been developing it more and updating the printers to do it faster and better.

it was a big deal for the cosplay people.

Honestly, I’ve been contemplating a Kiln for a while for knife making. But when I saw all the different filaments that use sintering to make non plastic objects, I handed my cards to the wife so I wouldnt get in trouble for spending. you can even print in pyrex if you have a means of cooking off the plastic. That is the technology I’m waiting to see become better.
