nema 17 and tb6600 driver for mach 3

hi

i am using nema 17 from v1 engineering kit and tb6600 stepper motor drivers for mach 3 setup

i need help with dip switch settings for current and stepping

if the motor say 1.7A per phase

do i set it to 3.4A ?

can i use full step or do i use microstepping for accuracy?

Use 80% of rated max current series or direct (no parallel), microstep at 8th or greater.

I got my stepper moving in one direction for x-ve and x +ve

what did I do wrong ?
