Yeah, I was thinking the stuff about converting a regular image into a shape for sandify. I’m sure there are image processing javascript libraries, right? for the edge detection?

Here’s the first one Google found for me. I’d love to see it implemented! Let me know if I can help, even though I never did figure out how to pass the ‘number of edges’ parameters to Sandify… ;(

I might have to start looking for an etch-a-sketch at thrift stores. I found some of the motors on ebay, but price is not much better. The motors are the only other thing I would need. You could probably make a simple plastic part in place of the wood. Thanks for pointing out this project.
