They are mounting points for people to do what they want with. Adding dust collection or drag chains are good examples.

I used those to attach my drag chain. Many people use the top of the Z tower, but Ryan had said many times not to attach anything up top there, since it has a lot of moment arm on the axis.
I believe somewhere in the building documentation it’s stated that those holes are to mount whatever you might need, along with the small holes through the bottom flanges of the core.
