Mrrf 2020

I am not sure if I have seen more than one or two table covers. It is really mostly just people squished into tables and the tables are full of stuff to check out. At the same time it is usually so crowded if there where table covers you would never notice. This year should be different.

My lady vetoed the white background version cover mentioning how many clean white shirts I own…zero…

(that is Ben Heck in the middle of that picture, not sure I noticed that before.)

Looking at that photo. The banner is the more useful tool. The proto-pasta one is easy to find no matter where you are in that crowd.

Based on that picture, a booth babe would go a long way towards brand recognition. And the logo fits any part of a bikini… :bikini:

Well banners are much cheaper!

That would depend on the babe.

banner would be more useful to find the booth. The tables are really ratty looking, the table drape will give it class.

You get an entire 8’ table, right? In years gone past, I have taken a printer along to play with. Will it be OK if i do that again and still sit at your table? I don’t want to mess up your branding/image.

For sure, that should fill up the table nicely…and your printer saved me last time!

That’s the small building too. Here’s the main building last year, you can just see the top of Ryan’s head in the center!

Look at all those banners…Wow how did I not notice them?!?

You were too busy talking.

From my eye level I just looked for a clear passage through the herd and whatever table I ended up at I hung out for a minute. I don’t think looking up was an option! It will be so different with some space to breath, that should be awesome.

Going through the kitchen hallway and squeezing past Joel, Prusa, or any number of people you recognize from youtube or twitter is a bit of an different experience in itself. Only at MRRF, bleeding edge consumer 3D printer hardware in a 4H barn in the middle of nowhere. Getting excited finally!

I agree…from the photos, no one can get far enough away to see the table cover.

But, a banner requires a wall or display stand. :man_shrugging:

Nope, we can take turns holding it over our heads…Or it is punishment for anyone that asks if you should fill the tubes with cement.

You mean cement is not a good idea?

Lots of great ideas of what to do at MRRF but I really needs some specifics to insure that the machine is tuned in and has the appropriate hardware.

Help?

Cement is best used for shoes… :fish:  :fish:

Make sure a pen works for sure, plan B is giant Sandify patterns! It would be really cool to see it moving all over the place. I have nothing artistic, I am spending all of my free time trying to rapidly rapid prototype so I have a thing to bring.

We can also do sandify drawings with a pen. Plan A.5

filamentum is backing out of mrrf due to covid-19 fears.

So much panic over this thing.
