That is, uh, an unconventional way to use strap clamps.
if it fits it could work… did that one
can I ask you what’s your Z assy weight?
Is that thing swinging a 2" surfacing endmill?
good eye sir! correct size on photo is something.
Huge endmill on a tiny spindle, and cutting tungsten?!?!? Two post that blew me away. NIIIIIIIICE Keep em coming.
I am excited that your setup works. Used and tested, I love seeing the boundaries being pushed. All that needs to be said, all positivity.
It looks more like a rotary cutoff wheel than a surfacing endmill.
The surfacing mill is in a different photo (earlier post)
What happened, I was loving the machining.
Lets all take a step back. I would love to see more tungsten cutting and the 2" endmill putting in work. Lets all learn from the deleted posts and not do that again, please.
I’m trying to decorate a xmas tree with some kids.
wuld post next tool made expect it in March ATM working on aircrafts… and you on your side try some tungsten and share experience or no use to bother?
I’d love to see some of our community try cutting tungsten with V1 machines.
Not something I would have expected.
I honestly never even considered it. I made a note to give it a shot, but I kinda have a long list of things to try still. That one does sound very interesting, though. Now that I know it is possible at least.
I love seeing what people can accomplish with the machine we build. I myself can’t put the time into now as I have no use for it but will keep it in mind for when I do have a use. I can’t wate to see what is next.
