Saw this on the t’Interweb thingy the other day. Guess the word is out
That’s awesome. Is there a digital copy we can get?
The cover says 17$AUS, which looks like it is 12$US. Do they make magazines with hard covers over there?
Shaneh’s asking a friend in NZ if they can find it.
I may be able to acquire a digital copy. Nudge, nudge
Edit: I have a digital copy. I don’t want to post a link here, so please msg me if you want the download link.
I need a real one for my wall!
The kitset CNC router we are showcasing in this issue is just such a beast. A hi-tech tool that was once only the domain of large engineering workshops is now available for your shed for a very affordable price. This type of advancement of tooling often opens the gates to a whole new generation of small businesses working from home and gaining all the benefits of running a cottage industry. Check out our guide to setting up this exciting domestic-use tool in this issue and then see if this could be just the tool that will make your dreams real.
Awwwwww
Well they emailed right back with this link, The Shed magazine subscription options - MagStore.nz.
$76USD for 3 issue subscription…Worth it!
Looks like you can buy the digital issue for 6 bucks! https://www.zinio.com/nz/the-shed-m33016
I’m a little surprised they didn’t notify you they were printing it before they did it. Most of the places I’ve ever worked, they would be notified prior to something going to print. Usually to give the person a chance to purchase some ad space to go along with the article.
Kinda odd, I never have been notified. Videos, articles, nothing. Before or after.
It is cool though they did link everything at the end of teh article, unexpected but appreciated!
Digital machinist didn’t either, the author did. He wrote and submitted it and let me know when it got accepted. After the fact they did send me the issue so I could check it out though.
You need to set up something like mailto:MediaInquiries@v1Engineering.com
(hope you don’t start getting spammed at that address now)
If we got in magazines more than once every five years!
That address will work, and I can sort by it, and spambox it if needed. Let’s see what happens.
I’ve noticed this a lot in the maker community. People seem to forget that designs like yours are still owned by the company even though you can print/build it yourself.
Might be different if you sold pre-built machines and the magazines/reviewers had to come to you to buy the machine before reviewing it.
