So it cuts now! Good thing I started with styrofoam as the code for job init in estlcam is not good yet, it pushed the zprobe into the styrofoam after z homing. It doesn’t happen when I home my Z ion Marlin, just in the job. It would have been a bit more “violent” in wood than in foam.
I just had rough styrofoam around, not the nice kind in the V1 tutorial. But it ended up better than I expected, given the material used

Today I use some laminate flooring to cut the same design (I didn’t want to have to deal with wood fibers direction, for that first try with a stronger material).
Very happy with the result. As advised, I used an upcut bit, so I was expecting a worse top surface.
