G’day guys,
Starting to gather the parts to build a V5 and acidently ordered 4mm Aluminium plate instead of 5mm. looking at the CAD I cant see an issue with using 4mm except for maybe the stepper mounts.
Can I get away with 4mm or is there something I missed and therfore better off getting some 5mm?

I think you’ll be good with 4mm I don’t think you’ll have any issues anywhere. @vicious1 will know for sure
4mm should be fine, the only place it could matter structurally is the 2 X rail supports, and I think they will be fine.

What about 1/4" aluminum? That would help me out a lot if I could get away with using material that I already have on deck.
