MP3DP V5 Plate Build

The bottom two holes are straight forward, but do I want the top/back hole to be centered on the plate? With the bed rail underneath the bed being slightly off centered, it has me wondering if I need to adjust the center hole here to compensate for any reason.

On the V5 the back hole is centered. The V4 was offset. This is why the bed mounts are specific to the position on the printer.

If I remember right you should be able to get the exact DXF you need from the CAD. But it has been quite a while since I messed with it.

I know my screw holes for the bed are as close to the edge as I could possibly get them to give me the most room for the bed heater, which I still had to trim a touch to clear :man_facepalming:

I put mine out to the edge too. I did source my heater pad from Keenovo and got the 280x280 version so I had some space on the edges.

Yeah I went full bed size. Pain in the build phase but real nice to not have any cool zones anywhere on the edges lol.

I figured if I needed that last 10mm at the edges I probably need to build a newer bigger printer. So I just don’t print things that big to save myself@

I don’t ever print that close to the edge so it was a waste anyways.

don’t tempt him…

I already have a 375x375. Plenty big enough for anything I have ever needed. Rarely gets used anymore
