Made this modular “box based” indoor playground thing for my 2 year old.
The assembly was pretty much just knocking the slotted corners together. They all fit very tight.
The idea was to build it based on 2.5x2.5x2.5ft boxes that are modular so you could build more and combine them, and they have slots that the external pieces slot into.
I also built a little climbing wall section (which sadly turned out much too little for my tall boy as it was done) - with climbing holds built from 2 sheets of baltic birch plywood glued together.
I’m always amazed at the accuracy this machine produces - all the parts fit together perfectly with very small tolerances built in. (Think I left a .3mm margin or so).
What i don’t see is how you would connect more of them together unless the plan is just screw them together at that point. But hear me out on this. A second one and suspension bridge between them like this (but smaller)
I did the roundovers and some sanding by hand after it was assembled - well on the corners - I rounded over the inner slots beforehand - since it wouldn’t be able to get to the inner side after it was assembled - since the router would hit the inner sides of the adjacent corners.
