Modified my Primo

All,

After cutting my latest glider instrument panel Glider Instrument Panel #3 I changed my MPCNC to be, primarily, a flat-surface system. I.E. I plan on using it for pen-plotting, cutting vinyl, and laser work.

I moved the legs in so there is nothing overhangs on the sides of the table. I built my workbench with a slide in spot for the MPCNC, but after I put all the bits together everything above the table was too big to fit in the space! I also moved the X-axis in about 8 inches from the edge of the table so I could mount the controls on the top of the table.

The new working surface is 600 x 460 millimeters. You can see the outline of the work space in the pictures.

I also redid the wire handling to use the “measuring tape” system. I’m not sure I have the attachments right yet, but it works.

I still need to make a universal mount and mating mounts for the pen, drag knife, and laser. I want them to all be coincident with regard to the point of action. I need to fill 4 hold-down screw holes so the pen or knife won’t snag.

The next project is to get my MP3DP V2 operational so I can print all the parts I need!
